Our Story

From the crease to the kettle. Handcrafted gear for those who grind.

The Dirty Goalie Soap and Candle Company

The Origin

It started the way all good hockey stories start: smelling like a locker room and needing a fix. The Dirty Goalie wasn't born in a boardroom; it was born in a basement office. After 25 years of being a Referee, Coach, Trainer, Mascot, Board member, I decided as a hobby I would get into the world of soap/candle making. I have a grandson, who at 13 years old started hockey as a goalie. He has made a representative hockey team after only two years. I attended a game to watch him, after the game he was coming to my house for a visit. It was an hour ride home. We could definitely smell the goalie gear. That is where THE DIRTLY GOALIE BRAND came from.  Please look around, Please give me ideas or feedback. ENJOY

We were tired of commercial soaps that smelled like a chemical plant and left our skin dry. So, we started making our own. Tough, gritty, hand-cut bars that actually worked. Before long, teammates started asking for them. Then, we moved on to candles—because let's face it, hockey bags reek, and air fresheners just don't cut it.

Today, we've expanded our lineup to include custom epoxy items and the best damn hockey stick wax you'll ever use. We're still handcrafted. We're still hockey-inspired. And we're still unapologetically hard as hell.
